The Role of Transformational Leadership on Private Yemeni Universities Knowledge Management

This study aimed to measure the role of transformational leadership and its dimensions (idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration) in knowledge management at Private Yemeni Universities in the Capital Secretariat, Sana'a. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach and utilized a questionnaire for data collection. A population of (524) academic and administrative leaders from ten private universities in the Capital Secretariat were identified for this study. A sample of (233) individuals was selected, of which (221) valid questionnaires were retrieved for statistical analysis. After the statistical analysis, the study reached the following conclusions: there is a moderately high level of commitment to practicing transformational leadership among the leaders of Private Yemeni Universities, along with a similarly high focus on knowledge management within these institutions. Furthermore, the results revealed a positive role for transformational leadership in knowledge management at Private Yemeni Universities in the Capital Secretariat, Sana’a. Specifically, the study demonstrated that the dimensions of "intellectual stimulation" and "individualized consideration" play a significant positive role in knowledge management, whereas the dimensions of "idealized influence" and "inspirational motivation" showed no such role.
